Rheudasil Park Master Plan meeting Dec. 6

No fishing — even catch and release — will be allowed at the Rheudasil Park pond for at least a year, according to the town of Flower Mound.

Flower Mound Parks and Recreation staff will present an overview of the Rheudasil Park conceptual master plan at the Park Board meeting on Thursday, December 6 at 6 p.m. at Town Hall, 2121 Cross Timbers Rd.

The public is invited to attend the meeting and provide comments during the public comments section of the agenda. This meeting will not be broadcast live due to equipment transition to the new Town Hall. However, staff will manually record the meeting and it will be available on the website at a later date, town officials said.

The overview will include an update on the work that was completed since the conceptual master plan’s approval in December 2014, including the pond dredging and bank stabilization that was completed in May. The significant dredging and bank stabilization was several years in the making due to its large scope, and needed to be complete prior to further upgrades.

The presentation will also provide a quick review of the process the Town followed to create the master plan, provide examples of the new amenities, and discuss future completion timelines.
