The National Weather Service announced Wednesday morning that it has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for all of North Texas, including Denton County, through Thursday night.
High temperatures are expected to reach 104-107 in southern Denton County on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, with heat indices projected over 110 degrees, according to the weather service forecast. Similarly high temperatures are expected nearly every day over the next 10 days.
Residents are urged to stay inside as much as possible, stay hydrated, wear light-colored and lightweight clothing and check the back seat.
