Flower Mound First Baptist Church hosted many local first responders for a Thanksgiving over the weekend.
Members and guests celebrated the holiday on Sunday, Nov. 17 with a Thanksgiving feast catered by Cotton Patch, including turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, gravy, rolls and cornbread.
Several Flower Mound firefighters and some Flower Mound police officers joined them at the church, 1901 Timber Creek Road. The firefighters had just sat down to eat when they had to leave to answer a call, but they were able to come back for their meal, according to a news release from the church.
