Local nonprofits are throwing a party later this month and inviting residents to join them on North Texas Giving Day.
Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day, Sept. 19, is an 18-hour online giving campaign that encourages residents to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofits and causes they care about, all on one website platform. Local nonprofits in Southern Denton County (SoDenCo) are throwing a party that evening to say thank you for your support, according to a news release from Winning the Fight, a local nonprofit that provides drug education, resources and support to families dealing with addiction.
SoDenCo Giving Day will be celebrating at Parker Square, 1500 Cross Timbers Road in Flower Mound from 5-7:30 p.m. There will be food, entertainment and activities — including a fire truck, bounce house, duck races, music and more — for all ages, according to the news release.
SoDenCo is made up of nonprofits from Argyle, Double Oak, Flower Mound, Highland Village, Lantana and Lewisville. For more information, call Don McDaniel at 469-360-7757 or email [email protected].
