Road repairs will begin soon in Highland Village.
In November 2017, voters approved a $2.86 million bond for reconstruction of streets that have reached the end of their life cycle. At the Highland Village City Council meeting on Tuesday night, the council awarded the contract for Phase 1 of the street construction project, according to a news release from the city of Highland Village.
The contract was awarded to Pavecon Public Works, LP in the amount of $523,307.39. Phase 1 of the Street Improvements Project will consist of Rosedale Street, Shasta Court, Snowdon Court, Sheldon Court, Sugarloaf Court and Catesby Place. Some of these streets are in need of full reconstruction and others require an asphalt overlay to bring them back to 100% on the city’s Pavement Condition Index.
The contractor is expected to begin work mid-June, according to the city.
