Excitement was in the air Wednesday on the first day of school at Donald Elementary in Flower Mound. The school is the first STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Academy in the Lewisville ISD. Donald Elementary has the largest number of nationally certified STEM teachers on a single campus in the entire country, according to LISD officials.
