Argyle residents are invited to public hearings this week about the town’s Comprehensive Plan.

The town is currently in the process of updating the Town of Argyle Comprehensive Plan, a guide for making decisions about growth and development. The plan was last updated in 2007, and has been the subject of objections from many residents at Town Council and Planning & Zoning Commission meetings. Most outspoken Argyle residents oppose dense residential development in the town, and many have blamed the town’s Comp Plan for not discouraging such development.

The public hearings have been scheduled for Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9-11 a.m. The town has also scheduled a joint Town Council and Planning & Zoning Commission meeting on Nov. 15 from 5-8 p.m.
