Each September, in conjunction with Food Safety Awareness month, Flower Mound’s Environmental Health Department recognizes food establishments that have shown consumer safety to be a top priority.
Those honored with 2016 Food Safety Excellence awards are selected through a combination of food inspection scores over the last year, paired with an intense random inspection by all three inspectors.
Each of the 300+ food establishments in Flower Mound can be categorized into one of five groups, with the 2016 winners listed here:
• Hospital/Assisted Living: Autumn Leaves
• Fast Food: Pizza Hut (2717 Cross Timbers Road)
• Full Service Restaurant: Pazzo! Wood Fired Grill
• Sandwich/Deli: Jason’s Deli
• Grocery Store: Target
