David Jhou and Judy Wang, co-owners of X & F Foot Spa, are excited to announce the relocation of their spa to Highland Village.
The pair, with over 15 years combined experience in the “hands-on” practice of reflexology, recently opened their spa on FM 407 east of Walmart after a loyal customer from Highland Village suggested they move here from Carrollton to provide a much-needed service to southern Denton County residents.
X & F Foot Spa specializes in reflexology, which promotes healing and wellness by stimulating the nerves in the body and encouraging the flow of blood. In the process, reflexology not only diminishes the sensation of pain but relieves the source of the pain as well. Reflexology can alleviate many symptoms as well as stress, back pain, chronic fatigue, migraines, arthritis, hormonal imbalances and sleep disorders.
Pressure applied to the hands and feet generates a signal through the nervous system that is processed in the brain. It is then relayed to various parts of the body to help restore its own healthy balance.
The art of reflexology dates back to ancient China, Egypt and India over 2000 years ago. It was introduced to the west as its own therapy by Dr. William Fitzgerald in 1913. Foot reflexology is based on the premise that our nerve zones or reflex points go from the bottom of our feet to the top of our head encompassing all vital organs along the way.
A reflexology session involves pressure treatments that are most commonly administered on the foot. Reflexology is suitable for all ages and is extremely safe. No special equipment is used in the session. The human hand is the primary tool. Expect to feel relaxed and refreshed at the end of a session.
Jhou and Wang are excited about their new spa and look forward to meeting local residents and helping them to feel better.
