The Lewisville Education Foundation is gearing up for their annual “Evening for Education: A Culinary Experience” fundraising event to be held September 10 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Lewisville.
The event features both silent and live auctions, sample dining from 24 area restaurants and caterers, and more.
“This year we are going hi-tech as we are including text messaging in our auctions providing bidders with instant updates on the status of their bid”, said LEF Executive Director, Connie Pelphrey.
The organization sponsors several fundraising events each year with the “Evening for Education: A Culinary Experience” event being the largest.
The Lewisville Education Foundation was created in 1990 and its sole purpose is to raise funds for teacher grants and student scholarships for teachers and students within the Lewisville Independent School District. Since its creation, the Foundation has awarded nearly two million dollars for benefiting students and teachers in Lewisville ISD.
