Flower Mound voters will get their chance to hear the views of their town council candidates at a forum Saturday at town hall.
The Cross Timbers Gazette will host a Flower Mound Candidate Forum on Saturday, April 23, at 6:00 p.m. at Flower Mound Town Hall.
There are two contested town council seats up for grabs this May.
In Place 1, Kendra Stephenson, a business consultant, and Jeff Whittaker, a Certified Public Accountant, are vying for the seat being vacated by Steve Dixon.
Mark Wise, an engineer, and retiree Elwood Leonard filed to run in Place 3 for outgoing council member Mike Wallace’s seat.
Incumbent Tom Hayden is running unopposed in Place 5.
Candidates will be given the opportunity to give an overview of their background and experience, discuss issues they feel are most important, and will answer written questions submitted online in advance and from the audience.

The event will be broadcast live and rebroadcast several times before Election Day on FMTV, the town’s government access cable channel on Time Warner channel 16, Grande channel 12, and channel 42 on Verizon’s FiOS TV.
