Association dives into pool projects

The Lantana Community Association is embarking on two large projects involving their main pools this spring. 

The North Amenity Center pool deck has settled as much as three inches on the west side of the pool and is now below the retaining wall, creating a condition that could cause the retaining wall to fail if not addressed, according to Bruce Crawford, Community Manager.

Crawford said that the Association has met with engineers and received recommendations on how to repair the issue and is currently in the process of meeting with contractors to facilitate the repair, which should be completed before the pool opens for the season.

The other big project involves the revitalization of the South Amenity Center pool.

Work at the nine-year old facility will include resurfacing the sun deck, cleaning the spray park, putting a new coat of polyurethane on the spray park surface, making repairs to the coping stones and the installation of new outdoor furniture.

Due to reserve funding, the projects will not impact homeowner’s monthly assessments, according to Crawford.
