The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Watch for North Texas, including Denton County, through midnight Thursday.
Severe storms with heavy rain, high winds and lots of lightning, plowed through the northeastern portion of the county but our area remained quiet.
“Not everyone will see storms, but be prepared to take shelter if need be,” the weather service said on social media.
