Emergency crews were dispatched to Hwy 377 about 4:30 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of an unknown slick substance that had been spilled on the roadway, according to a spokesperson for Denton County ESD No. 1. Crews have shut down the southbound lane of Hwy 377 at FM 407 as the roadway is cleaned up.
The district asks drivers to avoid the area if possible, and to slow down when driving past first responders.
