Firefighters get south Denton house fire under control

Firefighters responded to a house fire in south Denton on Thursday afternoon.

The Denton Fire Department said on social media that there was heavy fire involvement in the garage of a home in the 7900 block of Country Home Drive. As of 2 p.m., the fire was under control. Department photos show damage to the garage, the front of the house and the roof.

The house was occupied at the time of the fire, but no one was injured. The cause of the fire, which originated in the garage area, remains under investigation.
