Missing a package? It may be in the possession of a local police department.
Bartonville Police received a call on Saturday about a number of Amazon packages discovered in a dumpster at a local business.
Many of the boxes were empty but some still had brand new items inside, according to a Facebook post by the Bartonville PD.
All of the packages were addressed to Lantana residents. Police said all but two of the 15 to 20 address have been contacted.
Some residents suspect a “porch pirate” is to blame. One Lantana resident posted on Facebook that several neighbors reported their packages were stolen on Saturday.
