A Flash Flood Warning was issued Tuesday evening by the National Weather Service after severe storms dumped several inches of rain on southern Denton County.
Homes on Skyline Drive in Argyle were affected by flooding around 7:30 p.m. Skyline runs south of Crawford Road east of I-35W.
Earlier, a Tornado Warning was triggered in southwest Denton County after areas of rotation — potential tornadoes — moved through the I-35W corridor between 6-7 p.m.
Wind damage was reported in the areas of Justin and Denton, including downed trees and power lines. A brief tornado occurred just northeast of the TWU campus in Denton around 6:56 p.m. Mostly tree damage was reported.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for Denton County through Thursday morning.
