The town of Flower Mound notified residents Thursday that some water monitoring requirements were not met in July.
The town’s system failed in July and didn’t complete all monitoring for coliform bacteria, “and therefore cannot be sure of the quality of your drinking water during that time,” according to the town notice. An additional 13 samples were collected and the results were coliform absent. These samples and the lab submittal form were provided to the lab.
There is nothing Flower Mound residents need to do at this time, according to the town, and you can continue to drink the water.
The town implemented a new policy so that monthly sample totals are audited by a supervisor before the end of the sampling period to ensure that all samples are taken, tested and properly submitted.
