Santa Claus is coming to town. Specifically, he’ll attend two different events Saturday in Highland Village and Lewisville.
Our Village Glows, a festive community event that attracts thousands of Highland Village and surrounding area residents, will be held on Saturday evening at The Shops at Highland Village.
The Highland Village tradition is organized by the Highland Village Women’s Club, The City of Highland Village and The Shops at Highland Village, and it features the lighting of a 60-foot Christmas tree and light show themed “Let it Glow! Holiday Light Show Spectacular,” which includes 245,300 LED tree lights synchronized to holiday music, according to a city news release.
The celebration begins at 5 p.m. Saturday and also includes family-friendly activities, including musical entertainment, horse-drawn carriage rides, face-painting, cookie decorating, ornament making and Santa’s arrival.
Santa Claus will also be making a grand entrance earlier in the day at Music City Mall Lewisville, 2401 South Stemmons Freeway, where he will land by helicopter in the south parking lot at 10 a.m. The free event will be immediately followed by activities in the mall, including live music, refreshments, giveaways, face painting, balloon animals and coloring stations for kids. Santa will begin his season of taking photographs at the mall.
