Firefighters battled a large house fire in Highland Village on Saturday morning.
The blaze broke out around 10 a.m. at a home in the 3000 block of Lake Creek Dr. in Highland Shores on Lake Lewisville.
The occupants were not home at the time. The 5,200-square-foot house appears to be a total loss.
Firefighters from Flower Mound, Lake Cities, Lewisville and Little Elm assisted the Highland Village Fire Department.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
