Can you believe it is already June? Where did the year go? I know lots of parents are asking that very question as their child graduated last month from high school. In a blink of an eye, their babies are now young adults heading off to their next adventure.
For those heading to college, we know the transition can be scary so we hosted a college panel to help answer questions. We brought back four college students who spent an evening talking about the transition. They talked about everything from class schedule, meal plans, what to bring to your dorm, and pitfalls to avoid.
Grant Weitzer, junior at Texas Tech University, told the audience to “make sure you have a routine, study, and most importantly have fun!” One piece of advice from Jeff Woelfel, sophomore at St. Louis College of Pharmacy, was “don’t ever give up or get discouraged by a bad grade because there are a lot of resources and people around to help.”
We really appreciated these college students spending an evening with these graduating seniors! Please help us congratulate our 2018 Harvest Seniors! #HarvestProud
