Roads to close for improvements

Beginning Friday, June 2, sections of Waketon and Rippy roads will be closed in Flower Mound for road improvements.

Waketon will be closed to thru-traffic from FM 2499 to Chinn Chapel Road.

Southbound Rippy Road will be closed from Waketon Road to Pecan Meadows.

Northbound Rippy Road will remain open allowing resident access to the FM 2499/Waketon signal.

The project consists of upgrading the existing asphalt road to concrete, straightening out tight curves and eventually adding a roundabout at the Waketon Road/Chinn Chapel intersection.

Traffic will be detoured to Dixon Road for the project duration.

Weather permitting, the project is scheduled for completion late September/early October 2017.
