Flurries fly in Denton County

Snow flurries, accompanied by bitterly cold temperatures on Friday, reminded southern Denton County residents that winter is still here.

Light snow dusted the area but did not cause major travel impacts other than a few slick spots on driveways and sidewalks.

Today’s high will be near 26 under cloudy skies, with wind chill values between 7 and 14 degrees.

Although it will be sunny on Saturday, it won’t feel any better. With a high near 34, wind chill values will only be between 4 and 14 degrees.
