Foodie Friday: Uncovering a little-known hamburger joint

How we have not stumbled upon this restaurant sooner, I’ll never know! But better late than never, right? This week we enjoyed a wonderfully peaceful business lunch at a little-known hamburger joint of all places! And it’s right here in Flower Mound!

While driving along FM 2499 a few weeks ago, I spotted the sign for a place called Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers out of the corner of my eye and just knew that this place HAD to be our next Foodie Friday featured restaurant.

So, we packed up the whole team and headed over there. Unfortunately we weren’t able to meet with Wendy while we were there, but we were able to eat some of their delicious food including their Bacon Cheeseburger made with a hamburger patty, bacon and cheese; their chicken nuggets which are nuggets made of chicken meat; and their French fries seasoned with real sea salt.

They even have meals specifically for kids, so if you want to take the kiddos with you, no need to stress about what they’ll eat!

And for dessert, we enjoyed their specialty Chocolate Frosty served with some of their sea salt French fries. That may sound strange to you, but the creamy, chocolatey flavor of the Frosty pairs up perfectly with the salty crunch of the fries.

We’re so glad we discovered this gem right here in Flower Mound this week, and would encourage you to get yourself to Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers this beautiful April weekend to enjoy some burgers, chicken nuggets and a Frosty for yourself!
