Fundraising efforts are underway for the family of a Guyer High School student who died on Sunday evening after he was struck by a vehicle.
Corey West, 16, who played basketball at Guyer, was struck by an SUV while crossing Loop 288 in Denton and passed away later that night at the hospital.
In an effort to help alleviate any financial burden, a GoFundMe account was set up for his family to be used at their discretion.
