Dog stolen from Flower Mound house

A Flower Mound man was unable to keep a tight leash on his pooch and police are now on the hunt for the pet.

Monday morning, a man reported that sometime between 9 p.m. on Sunday and 12:30 a.m. this morning, someone broke into his house and stole his blue pit bull.

The dog is estimated to be worth $599.

Police have identified a possible suspect, but nothing concrete, said Cpt. Wess Griffin.

It happened in the 4200 block of Gayle Court. As of this afternoon, police have no further updates on this dog-napping.
