To strengthen community partnerships, the Flower Mound Police Department announced it will begin the new “Coffee with a Cop” community meetings beginning Friday, Jan. 23, from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at La Madeleine at 2500 Cross Timbers Road, Suite 150, in Flower Mound.
Future “Coffee with a Cop” meetings will be held from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on the first Friday of each month at different locations to allow all residents an opportunity to meet and chat with police officers.
The purpose behind the meetings is to allow Flower Mound police and residents an opportunity to meet in an informal setting to discuss community issues and build relationships.
With each monthly “Coffee with a Cop” program, officers will be able to talk one-on-one with residents to allow them to build relationships apart from the normal interactions during emergencies or situations not conducive to strengthening relationships, according to a news release
