Argyle Girl Scout Daisy Troop 3508 hosted an Argyle Police Officer Appreciation Dinner Friday at Town Hall.
The first graders earned funds to pay for the dinner from their annual sale of Girl Scout Cookies.
When asked by Troop Leader, Jayne Kraus, what they wanted to do with their funds, the girls insisted that instead of having a pizza party to celebrate themselves they would honor their local police officers with this event.
They told Kraus that they wanted to take the opportunity to meet the police officers that they see daily on the streets and roads of their town in person.
“What an honor this is for us to be served so unselfishly in this manner by our local girl scouts, they are truly living their motto of ‘Do A Good Turn Daily,” said Argyle Police Chief Tom Tackett.
