Flower Mound Performing Arts Theatre celebrates 20 years

Flower Mound’s community theater will celebrate its 20th Anniversary with an all-star cast musical fairy tale of past productions.

Theatre FMPAT Gala’s “Once Upon a Time – A Musical Fairy Tale Comes True” joins favorite theater songs in a two act original production benefiting Theatre FMPAT and will open the 20th season for the Flower Mound Performing Arts Theatre, February 17th and 18th at 7:30 p.m. in their new space at the MCL Grand Black Box Theater, 100 North Charles Street, Lewisville.

Theatre FMPAT has been the only professional theater in Denton County since 1993, contracting with the Actors’ Equity Association. 

The history of the theater will be told in musical selections from past seasons and will include from such musical hits as: Gypsy, Into the Woods, Grease, Godspell, Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, Little Shop of Horrors, and more.

The cast for “Theatre FMPAT– Once Upon a Time” is comprised of well known actors throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area including: Beth Albright, Andi Allen, Megan Kelly Bates, Lon Barrera, Bradley Campbell, Allie Doke, Eric Domuret, Linda Leonard, Doug Miller, Delynda Moravec, Stephanie Riggs, Ryan Roach, Cara Statham Serber, Rick Starkweather, Amy Stevenson, and more. 

The show will be written and directed by Neale Whitmore and will feature music direction by Adam C. Wright.

“This milestone is not only a celebration of our theater’s history but a chance to welcome back so many wonderful actors that have graced our stage over the past 20 years to mark this anniversary,” said Scott Kirkham, Theatre FMPAT Executive Producer. “In addition, to share this with the patrons and community that have supported us is indeed special!”
