Double Oak Police Calls

Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

10-24-2011  7:04 p.m. – Assist Agency (Minor Accident) – Chinn Chapel at Dixon, Flower Mound – Double Oak Police assisted Flower Mound Police with minor two car accident.

10-24-2011  10:04 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – 200 blk. Fox Trot – Resident thought she heard someone trying to break into the house.  Officer cleared the residence and found no evidence.

10-25-2011  2:15 a.m. – Assist Fire Department – 100 blk. Cedar Crest – Responded with Fire Department to a house fire.

10-26-2011  11:09 p.m. – Assist Agency (Shots Fired) – 700 blk. Manor Dr., Argyle – Double Oak Police assisted Argyle with investigation of a reported shots fired.

10-27-2011  1:50 p.m. – Lost Property – 300 blk. Waketon – A resident reported missing diamond earrings.

10-28-2011  2:20 a.m. – Intoxicated Person – 8000 blk. FM 407 – Officer responded to reports of an intoxicated person next to 407.  Officer was unable to locate the subject.

10-28-2011  1:56 p.m. – Loud Music – 200 blk. Oak Trail – Officer responded to a loud radio complaint.  Resident reduced the volume on their music.

10-28-2011  7:03 p.m. – Juvenile Complaint – 100 blk. Kyle Ct. – A citizen reported juveniles walking around the area with air soft guns.  Upon further investigation it was determined that the kids were attending a Halloween party.

10-29-2011  11:54 p.m. – Water Leak – 300 blk. Oak Trl. – A resident reported that a water leak had been created due to construction personnel damaging their pipe.  Code Enforcement / Building Inspections was notified.

10-29-2011  2:35 p.m. – Assist Agency (Burglary in Progress) – 800 Eagle Dr., Argyle – Double Oak Officer assisted Argyle PD with investigation into a possible burglary at a school.  Officer cleared the call once the juveniles were released.

10-29-2011  11:26 p.m. – Assist Agency (Loud Music) –  8700 blk. Cherry Lane, Lantana – Double Oak PD responded to loud music call at the request of the Sheriff’s Department.

10-30-2011  10:12 a.m. – Disturbance – 100 blk. Kings Rd. – Verbal disturbance between a motorist and a bicyclist.

10-31-2011  6:05 a.m. – Alarm – 8000 blk. Justin Rd. – Building alarm.

11-03-2011 1:23 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – 200 blk. Lake Trail Ct. – An officer responded to a report of an unknown vehicle parked in the neighborhood for a substantial period of time.  Upon further investigation the owner was located and the vehicle was moved.

11-03-2011  7:45 a.m. – Alarm – 100 blk. Timberleaf Ct. – An officer responded to a residential alarm.  No criminal activity was detected.

11-04-2011 12:38 a.m. – Barking Dog – 300 blk. Oakview – A resident reported barking dogs from their neighbor’s house.  The dog’s owner was contacted and they were moved indoors for the night.

11-04-2011  1:05 p.m. – Motorist Assist – 300 blk. Oak Trail Dr. – Officer found a truck and trailer stuck in a ditch.  Officer stayed with the vehicle until the trailer was removed.  The homeowner was notified of the damage to their yard.

11-04-2011  11:17 p.m. – Assist Agency (Disturbance) – 8000 blk. Watson Rd., Lantana – Double Oak Police assisted a Sheriff’s Deputy with quelling a minor disturbance.  Complainant reported that her ex-boyfriend had possession of her vehicle keys.  Male subject would not come out of the house to return the keys.  Eventually subject sent his father out of the residence and returned the keys to the Complainant.

11-05-2011  5:44 10:33 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – 200 blk. Valley View Trl – Complainant reported that an unknown person or persons is moving the tarp on her wood pile.  Complainant also noted that bricks around the wood pile had also been removed.

11-06-2011  1:42 a.m. – Assist Agency (Driving While Intoxicated) – 100 blk. Village Way, Argyle – Double Oak Police assisted Argyle Police with a Driving While Intoxicated arrest and towing of vehicle.

11-07-2011 8:42 a.m. – Alarm – 300 blk. Oakview Dr. – Officer arrived at alarm and checked residence with an open door.  Dogs were inside and homeowner was notified.

11-08-2011  10:48 p.m. – Theft – 100 blk. Highview Dr. – Complainant reported that a known suspect had stolen their cell phone.

11-08-2011  5:49 p.m. – Suspicious Person – 200 blk. Oak Trail – Homeowner reported an adult male going door to door claiming to work for AT&T.  Officer was unable to locate the possible solicitor.

11-08-2011  8:44 a.m. – Arrest – 300 blk. Waketon Rd. – Officer stopped a vehicle for speeding in the school zone.  Upon further investigation it was determined that the motorist was wanted for unpaid citations by Flower Mound PD.  The adult male was placed under arrest and transported to jail.

11-08-2011  1:30 p.m. – Alarm – 200 blk. Whistling Duck Ln. – Officer responded to an audible alarm call and was met by the homeowner.  Officer accompanied the homeowner through the residence and found an unsecure upstairs door.

11-10-2011  4:34 p.m. – Solicitor Complaint – 200 blk. Cross Timbers Dr. – Officer was unable to locate the solicitor.

11-14-2011  5:15 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – 100 blk. Timberleaf Dr. – A concerned resident reported a blue Ford passenger van parked in the street.  Upon further investigation it was determined to be a father waiting for his daughter to exit a friend’s house.

11-14-2011  6:59 p.m. – Warrant Arrest – 320 Waketon Rd. – An adult male was placed under arrest for Failure to Identify As a Fugitive (gave a false name, while wanted on a warrant, to a police officer) and transported to Denton County Sheriff’s Officer jail.
