The Lantana Ladies League and Blanton Elementary School are collecting coats and blankets for the Salvation Army of Denton County through today.
Over 130 coats and blankets were donated during a recent drive through collection at the Lantana Gazebo, bringing the total to over 700 items collected.
Blanton Elementary is the only elementary school in the Denton ISD participating in the 5th annual Coat and Blanket drive sponsored by Dave and Busters and the Dallas Mavericks.
The school who collects the most coats and blankets by Dec. 2 will win a pep rally with the Dallas Mavericks.
