The Highland Village Rotary Club is once again going to the dogs this Saturday during their 3rd annual “Paws for a Cause” Dog Walk.
The Paws for a Cause fundraiser will feature pet adoptions, a doggie costume contest, fly ball demonstrations and a pet parade. Several local rescue groups will be on site with dogs available for adoption and low cost microchipping will be offered.
Proceeds from the $20 entry fee supports the Highland Village Animal Care Unit and other local charities.
The rotary presented $500 to the Denton County Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic and donated a brand new dictionary to every 3rd grade student in each of the Highland Village elementary schools with the money raised from last year’s event.
Paws for a Cause will be held this Saturday, May 21, from 10:00 to 1:00 p.m. in front of the PetCo located at the northeast corner of FM 407 and FM 2499 in Highland Village. Register at www.RotaryPaws4aCause.com.
