Double Oak police arrested an Argyle man in connection to a recent home burglary.
Tyler Woodruff, 20, was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with Burglary of a Habitation, a second degree felony, during the investigation of an April 2 break-in of a home in the 6600 block of Hawk Ln.
Electronics, guns, coins, personal papers, a saxophone and a television were taken from the residence. Police believe that entry to the home was made through an unlocked kitchen window.
During the course of the investigation, police said that witnesses directed investigators to Woodruff and “significant amounts” of missing property were recovered from his vehicle and residence, along with several pawn shops.
Woodruff has a rap sheet dating back to 2007, including arrests for vehicle burglary, assault of a family member and possession of a controlled substance between one and four grams.
The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information regarding the burglary to contact Lt. Ruben Rivas or Chief Derrick Watson at 972-355-5995. If you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-388 TIPS (8477).
