An adventure of non Minnie-ature proportions

Minnie – a miniature Chihuahua – went missing on Wednesday, Nov.10, from Snazzy Cleaners at the intersection of Shiloh Rd. and FM 1171 in Flower Mound.

Snazzy Cleaners is owned by Sun and Ralph McCune, and Minnie frequently accompanies Sun to work.

Minnie is known and loved by all employees of the surrounding businesses and at her disappearance they sprung to assist in her safe return.

Employees from neighboring businesses Todd Henderson Insurance, Cristina’s, All-N-One, and Quail Hollow Tack along with neighbor Mary Beth Conner Yarbrough spent time searching for Minnie.

On Friday morning Linda Bennett of Quail Hollow called out Kat Manning and her dog Bosco of Dog Gone Detectives. Bosco is specially trained to track down missing pets.

Bosco took Kat and Linda on quite a daring chase across the busy and construction laden 1171.  It was a trip that would put a miniature Chihuahua in grave danger.

Just as Bosco  laid down to signal that the scent trail had stopped, Sun received a phone call from a Denton man informing her that he had Minnie in his possession. He confirmed that Minnie had been picked up at the exact spot that Bosco lost the trail.

An elated Minnie was returned home to a very grateful and thankful Sun at 10:00 am Friday morning.

It was a happy ending to a suspenseful few days thanks to the support, generosity, and love of surrounding employees and friends.  Welcome home Minnie!
