Calling all Angels

The Communities Civic League is kicking off their annual Angel Tree Program starting this November.

Applications will be available Nov. 1st through Nov. 15th at the Argyle Police and Municipal Court Building at 506 Hwy 377 and at every Argyle ISD Nurse’s Office for parents to pick up.

Angel tags will be available for pickup the week of Thanksgiving at: Argyle United Methodist Church, Cross Timbers Church, First Baptist Church Argyle, Northstar Bank, PointBank, Bartonville Food Store, Papi’s Tex Mex Grill and Andrew’s Restaurant.

Area residents can help CCL assist those in need by selecting an angel tag from one of the sites and returning an unwrapped item to the same location before Dec. 15th.

The organization is asking for two outfits, coat, shoes and socks, underwear and two toys for each child.

CCL will also be collecting basic items for senior citizens that are served by Metroport Meals on Wheels in the Argyle area.  In the past, seniors have requested postage stamps, paper, Ensure, socks and snacks.

Last year, CCL was able to serve 109 children and 12 seniors thanks to the generosity of the community.
