Argyle Police Blotter

The following is a summary of incident reports recently made to the Argyle Police Department as compiled by the staff of The Cross Timbers Gazette:

An officer observed a loose dog chasing a jogger in the 300 block of Old Justin Road.  This was the second time that the officer witnessed the aggressive dog pursuing the jogger. The Animal Control Officer was contacted.

Gunshots were heard in the 300 block of Old Justin Road.  Upon investigation, it was discovered that two large snakes were shot by a nearby resident.

Solicitors were reported passing out flyers for a curb painting service in the 400 block of Santa Fe Trail.  Police were unable to locate the peddlers. 

A woman in the 800 block of Frenchtown Road told police that a crow was attacking her cats. 

Police were called to assist the Sheriff’s Department with removing a snake from someone’s living room in the 4100 block of Meadowview Drive.

An officer was summoned to break up a fight between two brothers at Argyle High School.

A resident in the 800 block of Frenchtown Road told police that someone may be stealing mail from their mailbox. 

Gunshots were reported by a resident in the 1300 block of Burnett Drive in Lantana.  Police were unable to locate the source of the disturbance.

A laptop was reported stolen from a classroom at Liberty Christian School.

Police responded to a report of juveniles throwing things at the ducks in the Country Lakes pond.  The kids were not located.

A resident in the 1400 block of Rolling Acres reported a loose pit bull roaming the neighborhood.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.

During an argument, a juvenile jumped out of moving car in the 400 block of Hwy 377 S.  No injuries were reported.

A flower shop on Hwy 377 reported problems with an ex-employee regarding not making deliveries.  Police advised the business that it was a civil matter.

Members of a local church were given a verbal warning to stay out of the roadway while they were soliciting along Hwy 377.

A resident in the 700 block of Valley View Court said that an unknown person had used his personal information to file their taxes.

Police were called about a juvenile shooting turkeys with his BB gun in the 300 block of Country Lakes Boulevard.

Police received a call about a school bus on FM 407 weaving all over the road.  Upon investigation, the bus driver said that he was “just playing with the kids”.
