Collier should be reelected

I have known Jake Collier for many years both as a practicing attorney and as the Judge of the 158th District Court. During his current tenure as a District Judge, Jake has upheld the highest ethical standards that I would expect of a Judge, has always evaluated each matter with the highest level of integrity and scrutiny, and has always treated with respect the persons before him and the matters that he was entrusted to decide.

Judge Jake Collier came to be a District Court Judge after more than 30 years as a practicing attorney and has spent the last 7 years as an able and qualified judge.  In fact, during the last six years, Jake has been voted by the Denton County Bar Association as the most qualified District Judge in Denton County. This distinction is hard to come by in a County with six district courts. Also, this honor is voted on by Denton County Attorneys anonymously each year. Proven leadership and recognized qualifications by his peers is just another reason that Judge Jake Collier should be reelected to the 158th Judicial District Court.

Finally, as a practicing attorney that has appeared before him on many occasions, I strongly support Jake Collier because I believe that he is truly the most qualified candidate. I would suggest you look at both candidates qualifications. Upon review, you will agree with me, that a vote to re-elect Jake Collier is a vote for a trusted, informed and qualified “practicing judge”.
