Briarhill Middle School 8th-grader Ananya Kodali recently won the 2016 Denton County Spelling Bee.
Kodali will represent Lewisville ISD and Denton County at the Dallas Morning News Regional Spelling Bee on March 26.
This is Kodali’s second win at the Denton County Spelling Bee and will be her second time competing in the Dallas Morning News Bee. Last year, she was the runner-up.
The winner of the Dallas Morning News Bee will receive an all-expense paid trip for three to Washington, D.C. to compete in the National Spelling Bee.
