Southern Denton County shoppers will soon have a new destination for women’s fashion.
Women’s clothing retailer J.Jill is expected to open a new store in The Shops at Highland Village early next year, according to a filing submitted to the state Wednesday.
Records show it will be located at 1500 Cottonwood Creek, but no specific suite has been listed.
J.Jill Inc operates as a national lifestyle brand specializing in women’s apparel, footwear, and accessories, primarily targeting women aged 45 and older.
About $450,000 in renovation work on the new store is expected to begin in November and be completed by the end of January 2027.
The brand has clothing in sizes XS up to 4X and fitting regular, petite and tall, according to its website.
J.Jill began in 1959 as one store in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. In 1999, the brand expanded with the opening of multiple retail stores and launching an e-commerce site.
Today, J.Jill operates more than 200 stores nationwide, including several North Texas locations in Southlake, Plano, Allen, Fort Worth and Dallas.
J.Jill is the most-recent in a string of big name additions to The Shops.
Shake Shack, J.Crew, Troy Mediterranean Bar & Grill and STRONG Pilates all recently opened at the shopping center, and Hudson House is expected to open before the end of the year.
Spirit Halloween also recently opened for the season at The Shops.
