The Shops at Highland Village recently announced details about many family-friendly events and activities, beginning this weekend, through the end of the year.
The shops center is kicking off the holidays with Our Village Glows — an annual festive event celebrating the holiday season with a tree-lighting ceremony. Presented in partnership with the Highland Village Women’s Club and the city of Highland Village, the event is set to take place on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 5:30-8 p.m. Our Village Glows’ main event is a holiday-themed light show that illuminates the center’s 35-foot Christmas tree, covered in over 150,000 LED lights synchronized to holiday music. During the event, Santa will arrive on a firetruck, and then be available — along with Mrs. Claus and other Christmas characters — to take photos near the Christmas tree, according to a news release from The Shops.
Guests will also be able to participate in various family-friendly activities, including horse-drawn carriage rides, face painting, ornament making and cookie decorating. The celebration will conclude with a live musical performance of holiday classics by The Rosana Eckert quartet from 7-8 p.m.
Holiday fun at The Shops at Highland Village will continue after Our Village Glows with various events and activities for the entire family, including:
