The community is invited to a traditional ceremony to commemorate a new fire engine and ambulance on Friday in Highland Village.
The “wet-down” and “push-in” event is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday at the fire station, 1200 Highland Village Road, according to social media posts by the Highland Village Fire Department.
Commemorative towels will be distributed to help dry off the new engine and ambulance.
