Warm greetings from Bartonville!
The Town Council has been meticulously working on the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 proposed budget maintaining the current property tax rate of $0.19294 per $100 assessed value. We invite residents to review the proposed budget which is available on the Town’s website. All public hearings and meetings start at 7 p.m. The first budget public hearing is on August 20, 2019. The second budget public hearing is scheduled for September 3, 2019. The adoption of the tax rate and proposed budget will be on September 19, 2019.
There has been significant progress made on our 2019 Streets Improvement Project. We are pleased to report we are currently ahead of schedule. Wolf Run Rd., Maple Dr., Mulberry Dr., Hidden Oaks Ct. and sections of Gibbons Rd. and Broome Rd. have been completed. This month, the road crew will be completing sections of Stonewood Blvd. and Timberidge Ct. along with all of Ridgewood Ct. While we do our best to minimize disruptions, there can be slight delays occasionally. We appreciate your patience and understanding while these projects are completed. Be sure to check the Town website for the most up to date schedule.
Opening Soon! Tractor Supply will be holding its Grand Opening on Saturday, August 17th. The new store is located at 2201 E. FM 407. I encourage everyone to attend to give this new Bartonville store a warm welcome.
Save the Date! After a successful event last year, National Night Out will be returning on Tuesday, October 1st from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This is a great opportunity to interact with the Bartonville Police Department and fellow residents. The event this year will be held at the Lantana Community Church located at 2200 East Jeter Road.
Hard to believe, but school is just around the corner. Be mindful of school zones and our children.
