The town of Flower Mound installed its 24th outdoor warning siren last week in Canyon Falls.

The sirens which are scattered around town, are activated for a tornado warning/confirmed tornado, hail 1.5 inches in diameter or larger, and straight-line winds of 70 mph or greater, according to the Flower Mound Fire Department. This newest one is located at 11300 Denton Creek Blvd., behind Argyle Middle School.

In addition to the outdoor sirens, the town also encourages residents to sign up for its Everbridge emergency notification system to receive alerts to include weather alerts. Click here for more information.
