The town of Flower Mound is seeking runners for its fifth annual Veterans Day Relay Run.

The run is scheduled for Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the town is looking for relay participants to run a portion of a pre-determined 45 mile route around Flower Mound, according to a town news release. Each relay runner will run approximately 1-2 mile sections, commemorating U.S. Military veterans and their service by carrying the American flag.

The course will start and end at the Flower Mound Community Activity Center, 1200 Gerault Road, and will be followed by a post-event celebration from 5 to 6 p.m. at the CAC, according to the news release. Relay runners and volunteers must be registered by 5 p.m. onOct. 22 and can do so by completing an online form found here. All runners will receive a commemorative T-shirt, and priority will be given to local veterans and those running in honor of a veteran family member.
