The town of Flower Mound is gearing up for Independence Fest, its big annual Fourth of July celebration at Bakersfield Park, 1201 Duncan Lane.
Texas country singer/songwriter Pat Green will be the headline act for Independence Fest 2018 on Wednesday. A full day of activities will begin with the annual Children’s Parade, and conclude with an evening program of live music and a fireworks finale. There will also be performances by local band ‘Mark Tyson and the Whisky Pilots’, plus crowd favorite ‘Le Freak.’ As always, there will be a vintage car show, a showcase of local businesses, food and drinks for the whole family, and a Kid’s Zone with bounce houses, face painting and more.
Admission and parking are free for the event. Click here for information about parking and shuttle options. Gates open at Bakersfield Park at 5 p.m., and the fireworks finale is expected to begin about 9:50 p.m.
