A cat caused power outage Tuesday night in southern Denton County

A cat caused the power outage late Tuesday night in southern Denton County, according to the town of Northlake.

About 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, a cat disabled a mobile transformer in the southeast corner of Hwy 377 and FM 1171 in far west Flower Mound, according to the town of Northlake, wiping out power for some residents in Northlake, Bartonville, Argyle and nearby areas.

CoServ was dispatched immediately and restored power in about 40 minutes, according to the town. The cat didn’t make it.
