The police department shared a photo of the team, which received the Brenda J. Slovak Memorial Trophy for the first place unit. Sgt. Jason Rachal and Officer Charles Chaple came in second and third, respectively.

The Keller Police Bike Race to End Child Abuse started in 2009 as a fundraiser in which officers from surrounding agencies race in full uniform to raise awareness and financial support to Alliance for Children, a nonprofit that. provides protection from child abuse.

The event has grown to several races, ending with the police bike race, in which officers ride the 4.5-mile course in full uniform.
