Easter is a wonderful time of year to contemplate upon this declaration made by the gospel writer John, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son…”
The significance of this message becomes much more meaningful when we consider these teachings of an ancient prophet who lived in the Americas.
“And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people. And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.”
Christ has personally experienced every pain, sorrow, affliction, sickness, temptation and infirmity that any of us will ever experience. He has perfect empathy and has power to lift and strengthen us. He overcame death and because He lives each of us will also live again. #becauseofhim
