Happy New Year from the officers and staff at the Double Oak Police Department!
Thank you to the Northlake, Arlington, Lewisville, Dallas and Irving Police Departments with their assistance into investigating multiple vehicle burglary, building burglary and credit card abuse cases. With their help stolen property was recovered, three adult offenders have gone to jail and multiple offenses across the Metroplex have been cleared.
Thank you to the Double Oak Women’s Club for the generous donation of a hand held night vision monocular for use by our officers on patrol. Double Oak is extremely dark at night and the technology will assist our officers with locating suspicious activity.
It is of note that these offenses probably took place during the early morning and under the cover of darkness. Both vehicles were parked in their respective driveways and required that the suspect(s) approach the vehicles on foot.
This offense is currently under investigation. If you have any information that may be of assistance please contact Investigator C. Murphy at 972-355-5995.
Please report all suspicious activity to your local Police Department by calling 911.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve.
