For high school seniors in the Lewisville Independent School District, Friday is an important deadline.
The Lewisville ISD Education Foundation offers hundreds of scholarships to graduating seniors who plan to attend college next year. All students are eligible, unless they have been selected for a full scholarship by another source.
Scholarships are awarded based on specific criteria established by donors, and range from academic achievement and community involvement to success outside of academic ranking and career aspirations, according to the foundation’s website.
LEF scholarship applications are evaluated by blind review and contain questions designed to help the scholarship readers and Scholarship Selection Committee best match students’ qualifications with donor-specific criteria.
Students must submit their applications by 4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12. All applicants will be notified by email if they were selected or not in April.
